Frequently asked questions
If you can't find the answer here, write to us. We reply fast, even in season. hello@outdoor.games
Do I need to install anything?
No. The game runs in your phone's browser. After purchase you get a link, open it at the start, and play. Nothing to download from the App Store or Google Play.
Do we need mobile signal?
Yes, at the start, to load the game. After that the app keeps the content offline and only needs signal occasionally. We've accounted for weak-signal stretches in every game.
How many people can play?
Two is enough. Most games work best with three to six people, and one phone per team is plenty. Smugglers and Štvanice Island are played in two teams, so from four to twelve players.
What if it starts raining?
You keep playing, outdoors doesn't work any other way. Tickets never expire, so if the weather is truly against you, reschedule for another day at no charge.
Is the game suitable for kids?
Secret of the Peat Bog is built for families and works for kids from age eight. Shadows of Jizera, In Žižka's Footsteps and Štvanice Island suit ages twelve and up. Operation North, The Mountains' Curse, The Clockmaker's Will and Smugglers are more demanding, we recommend age fourteen and up.
Can we bring a dog?
Yes, on most routes. In Secret of the Peat Bog a leash is required, as the route runs through a protected area. For Smugglers we don't recommend it, it's fast-paced and covers a larger territory.
What if we get stuck during the game?
Every task has two levels of hints and, eventually, the solution. It won't block your progress or hurt your result enough to spoil the game.
Do we have to finish the game in one go?
No. Your progress is saved. You can come back to the same spot another day and continue where you left off.
How does multiplayer work?
In Smugglers and Štvanice Island you split into two teams, each with its own phone. One team gets a route with a shipment, the other gets patrol points and reports. Occasionally both teams receive partial information about the other's movements. The ending is clear: the shipment gets through, or it doesn't.
How much does the game cost?
590 to 790 CZK per team, depending on the game, not per person. Two-team games cost 1,290 CZK for both teams. Tickets never expire, so you can start whenever you like.
Which languages can we play in?
Czech and English. You choose the language when the game starts, the ticket is the same either way.
You'll find the rest outside.
Pick a story, charge your phone, and head outside.
